Dundee lost 1-0 to hosts Rangers who scored after 10 minutes when Davis headed home after Legzdins had saved the first effort. Just before this Josh Mulligan had a decent header which went over the bar.
Josh Mulligan had a shot which went just over the ball after a good turn to make the space, Rangers did have a few chances but failed to add to their lead.
Dundee had defended well in the first half and being 1-0 at half time gave the dark blues a good chance to get a result.
Second half and they started well and as the half went on came into the game. Joe Grayson was unlucky with a 25 yard effort.
A good spell of pressure ended with a Derick Osei cross coming off the roof of the bar. With 5 minutes remaining McGhee connected with a Kerr cross but headed over the top.
Dundee played well tonight and it will do the squad a lot of good for their future games in the league.
