Arbroath 1, Dundee 1, Gayfield, cinch Championship, 08-October-22

Dundee made five changes to the team that faced Cove Rangers during the week. Jordan Marshall, Joe Grayson, Cillian Sheridan, Zak Rudden and Luke McCowan started, replacing Ben Williamson, Paul McGowan, Max Anderson, Lyall Cameron and Zach Robinson.

Dundee struggled to start well and Tyler French headed off the line to deny Ricky Little, but Dundee broke quickly and Sheridan put McMullan clear on the wing and his cross was headed home by Zak Rudden to put Dundee one nil up.

Dundee struggled to cope with the wind as Arbroath had a few chance and they managed to get away with it. Dundee nearly scored the second goal when McCowan worked his way in and his cut back was miskicked by McMullen it was a good chance.

But it was no shock when Arbroath levelled with a stunning free kick from Bobby Linn it was well deserved and it made for a good second half.

It was a poor second half with Dundee had a couple of chance one Rudden put wide and Robinson put one over the bar. Arbroath had a lot of breakaways but failed to score the winning goal.

At least a point for the dark blues in the end which they could have losted the game.
