Games Off

Dundee's future games have been called off due to The Corona Virus, hopefully it will clear. But if not I hope that it does not have a massive effect on my football club. Only time will tell.

My Programmes From The Past

Dundee lost the game 5-1, Doug Houston scored for Dundee in front of a 9,083 crowd at The Dell.

Dundee 2, Ayr United 0, Dens Park, Ladbrokes Championship, 10-March-20

Dundee beat Ayr United 2-0 in a entertaining game last Tuesday night, they got off to the perfect start when Kane Hemmings scored after a neat flick on from Paul McGowan. Dundee had numerous chances in the first half but failed to put the ball into the net. Ayr were unlucky a couple of time when good football could have seen them level the game.

Second half and the game was still end to end with Dundee maybe looking more dangerous in the final third. Maybe the turning point was when Ollie Crackshaw replaced Andrew Nelson and the Dee looked to finish the game. The second goal came late on , but it was well worth the wait to finally for me to see Dundee win at home this year.

A big mistake from Mark Kerr and Dorrans picked the ball up and  fed Ollie Crankshaw who scored his first goal for Dundee to seal the points. Again another clean sheet for the team, l also thought Christophe Berra was immense and has proved a great signing. Also Connor Hazard has done well on his second spell at the club on loan.

Dundee: Hazard, Meekings (c), Forster, Berra, Elliott, Dorrans, McGowan (Robertson 77), Byrne, McDaid, Hemmings (Ness 90+3), Nelson (Cranshaw 73) Unused Subs: Sharp, Kerr, Field, Cameron.

Ayr United 0, Dundee 0, Somerset Park, Ladbrokes Championship, 7-March-20

In the first of back to back game Dundee came away with a deserved point after a 0-0 draw. The highlight was a Connor Hazzard second half penalty save. It did not look much of a penalty whemn I seen it on YouTube. Anyway a good point on the road, another clean sheet. Looking forward to the game on Tuesday when both teams meet again this time at Dens Park.

Dundee: Hazard, Meekings (c), Forster, Berra, Kerr (Elliott 62), Dorrans, McGhee (Nelson at half time), Byrne, McDaid (Field 74), Hemmings, McGowan. Unused Subs: Hamilton , Cameron, Crankshaw, Robertson.

Dens Round Up

Dundee will play Arbroath on the 24th of March, happy with that date as I'm dayshift at my work.

Dundee 0, Alloa Ath 0, Dens Park, Ladbrokes Championship, 03-March-20

Dundee drew 0-0 with Alloa at Dens on Tuesday night, it was all Dundee during the 90 minutes, but they failed to put the ball in the net. With Inverness winning 3-2 it means another 2 points dropped. The next two games are vital when the club play Ayr United twice firstly away this Saturday, and at home next Tuesday. Kane Hemmings missed the game due to illness.

Dundee: Hazard, Meekings (c), Forster, Berra, Elliott, Dorrans, McGhee (Crankshaw 69), Byrne, McDaid, Nelson, McGowan. Unused Subs: Hamilton, Kerr, Ness, Field, Robertson, Cameron.

Queen of the South 0, Dundee 0, Palmerston Park, Ladbrokes Championship, 22-Feb-20

Dundee came away with a massive three points winning 1-0 thanks to a Jordan Forster goal on 72 minutes, a much needed boost and another clean sheet means the hard core Dundee fans went home very happy.

Dundee: Hazard, Meekings (c), Forster, Berra, Elliott, Dorrans, McGowan (Kerr 80), Byrne, McDaid, Nelson (Crankshaw 68), Hemmings. Unused Subs: Hamilton , Field, Robertson, Cameron, Strachan.

Dundee's game against Arbroath was called off due to a waterlogged pitch, very heavy rain on Friday night made the pitch unplayable.
