31-year-old Wright has previous William Hill Premiership experience, spending three seasons at Kilmarnock. Wright came through Huddersfield Town’s academy, signing a professional contract in 2013.
A loan at Accrington Stanley followed, and in 2016 he joined Doncaster Rovers, going on to make 129 appearances for the club.
Ahead of the 2022/23 season, Wright moved to Kilmarnock, and stayed there until 2025 when he joined Bradford.
A good signing and will add to the squad which is much needed.
Dundee made one change to the Dee team that won last week’s derby was Bradley Fink coming in for his first start with Alan Forrest moving onto the bench. Matai Akinmboni, this week’s loan signing from Bournemouth, was named as a substitute.
Both teams started okay in a even manner. But after 20 minutes Hibs were taking control and missed a couple of good chances.
Hibernian did open the scoring after 25 minutes when slackness in the Dundee defence and Boyle scored with ease after making a good run from deep.
Dundee struggled to respond. Bradley Fink and Joe Westley were isolated and saw little of the ball as Hibs dominated possession.
The Dark Blues were lucky not to concede a second goal when Callum Wright responded quickly to a breakdown in midfield to send Boyle clear. This time the Hibs striker, with time to pick his spot, clipped his shot outside the post.
Dundee had a wee chance just before half-time good play from Hamilton and Joe Bevan set up Fink to run at the defence and shoot but he curled his effort narrowly wide.
Dundee started the second half better and missed a good chance when the ball was would not fall to the strikers. Goodman then made a good save from McGrath.
Hibs extended their lead after 60 minutes when Boyle’s cross from the right was deflected into the path of Callum Wright, who shot into the corner of the net from 12 yards.
Alan Forrest and Fin Robertson came on for Charlie Reilly and Bradley Fink. but Hibs took fully control and the game looked finished.
With quarter of an hour to go Dundee sent on Zan Besir and Bobby Wales for Ryan Finnigan and Joe Bevan. The change gave the Dark Blues fresh impetus and at last they were able to put Hibs under pressure.
Finally the Dark Blues managed to pull a goal back after 83 minutes. Hamilton was fouled as he shaped to shoot. From the resulting free kick, 30 yards out, Hamilton hit a fierce curling shot over the wall and against the crossbar. Joe Westley reacted quickly to force the dropping ball over the line.
Dundee pushed forward in the last minutes of the game, but the Referee blew for full-time bang on 2 mins 13 secs. Hibs deserved the win today.
