Dundee were forced to make a few changes to the team which would face Morton at Dens. The main one was Ian Lawlor in goal for his first team game since April.
Dundee started well and McCowan, Mulligan and Sweeney had efforts blocked or saved to deny Dundee getting the first goal.
Morton had a few chances but Dundee were able to defend and clear the ball to go in at half time 0-0.
Second half and Jordan Marshall was unlucky not to score when his shot was tipped over the bar, then soon after Williamson had a shot which just over the bar.
Dundee made changes to the team with 4 players coming on as they went for the winner, the closest was hitting the post late on, Then Josh Mulligan was sent off after he went to block the ball. The referee was slow to pull the cards out to the dismay of the crowd, It looked very soft from what l had seen.
Lee Ashcroft missed the target with a header near the end, then Morton could have scored in injury time but the bar went wide.
We missed a good chance today as the other results went for the club, next up is a trip to play Queens Park next Friday night.
