Dunfermline Ath 2, Dundee 2, Championship, East End Park, 02-August-19

Dundee started the game with the team which beat Inverness CT last Sunday. A big Dundee support has travelled for the live game on Friday night.

Dunfermline started really fast and Dundee struggled big time with the direct approach from the Pars. Meeking's could have put Dundee ahead , but his powerfully header was well saved by Ryan Scully.

But on 12 minutes the home side scored a good goal Nisbet raced clear and his cross was smashed home by Dow. It was not a surprise and it looked like Dundee were going to get a hiding if they can't get to grips with the pace from the home team.

It was 2-0 after a simple cross was headed home by Nisbet with the Dundee defence posted missing. It could have been three soon after when Nisbet curled a shot off the bar.

Just on half-time Dundee got a big break, a Cammy Kerr cross bounced up and hit the arm of a defender. Referee Aitken pointed to the spot, Danny Johnson made no mistake from the spot.

Manager James McPake made two changes to the team, Meekings and Nelson was replaced by Todd and McDaid. Dundee started well and looked much better the formation back to 4-4-2. Dunfermline could now only hit on the break and Nisbet went close.

After 74 minutes it was 2-2 Johnson was fouled in the box and again the Referee pointed to the spot, Danny Johnson again scored with ease. It was all Dundee in the last 15 minutes with McGhee went close with a 20 yard shot.

It ended 2-2 so a point was good for the second half show, the home side will feel hard done bye as both penalties looked soft.
