Dundee started well and Joe Bevan had some good runs his crosses could have been better. But from one Simon Murray headed wide of the goal.
Reilly played in Zan Besir whose shot was blocked by the keeper’s legs. Besir then set up Bevan who guided his effort inches past the post.
Next up before half-time Drey Wright's shot hit the top of the bar. Clyde keeper Jay Hogarth saved well from Murray’s powerful 15 yard shot that was perhaps aimed too close to the goalie.
Clyde did have chances as well and a couple of time O'Hara saved well to deny the bully wee.
Second half and the game and Dundee put on Alan Forrest and Joe Westley on for Charlie Reilly and Zan Besir. Both had struggled a bit.
Inside 2 minutes Alan Forrest scored his first goal for the club, when he finished well with a curling effort. Both teams had chances and Clyde were playing well enough a second goal was needed to win the game.
It arrived after 69 minutes when the ball was handled in the box. It was a bit soft but rules are rules. Up stepped Simon Murray to score with ease.
Five minutes later and it was 3-0 when Joe Westley scored at the back post with a volley.
Dundee were in control now and Fin Robertson came close twice with good efforts. Fin had replaced Ryan Finnigan.
Dundee made it 4-0 on 83 minutes when Joe Westley flicked home for his second goal. Dundee ran out the game and could have added more with the chances created.
