Dundee started with three new signing making their debut. Owen Bevan and Idris Odutay started in defence, with Ryan Finnigan in central midfield. Joe Bevan also had his first start after signing in the January transfer window.
The game got off to a poor start with Dundee struggling and it was no surprize when Airdrionians took the lead on 11 minutes, A header from Taylor hit the post and the ball bounced off Harry Sharp’s back and over the line.
Dundee hit back but it took 10 minutes when Drey Wright and Ethan Hamilton both forced saves with fierce shots.
But on 31 minutes Dundee drew level with a great goal from Charlie Reilly with a curling shot into the top corner. Dundee seemed much better and push forward to attack.
Ryan Finnigan went desperately close with a low 18 yards shot as the Dee pile on the pressure.
But in injury time the visitors took the lead when Ex-Dee Sam Fisher took a free kick lobbed the ball home frome the half-way line with Harry Sharp in nomans land.
Second half and Dundee levelled inside 2 minutes when Ethan Hamilton hammered a magnificent shot into the top corner from 25 yards.
Simon Murray came on for Callum Jones with Charlie Reilly moving to the left.
Joe Bevan had two shots which went close as Dundee went to kill the game off. But minutes later a good pass from Hay and Joe Bevan scored with a fine finish to make it 3-2.
Soon after and it was 4-2 when Ash Hay got clear and headed home off the post to make the final score 4-2.
I missed the game due to a Fa,mily holiday in Prague. Happy that Dundee recovered to secure the win.
