A bigger than normal Dundee support travelled through to Paisley on Saturday for the massive game against St Mirren. For the game Dundee made two changes Nelson and Curran coming in for Miller and O'Dea.
Dundee got off to the perfect start as they had the early pressure, and it paid off when Ethan Robson scored his first goal with a simple finish from eight yards. Dundee kept up the pressure and Andy Nelson was very unlucky when his shot just went wide.
But on 11 minutes St Mirren levelled with a simple goal, a cross from Nazon was flicked home by Mullen and this sparked the game into life. Dundee came back but the keeper saved well from Curran shot.
Likely Dundee edged the first half, but this game is far from over and they need to dig in to get a result.
Second half and St Mirren started well and pushed Dundee back, in a couple of break away Nelson was unlucky to see a curling effort well saved by the Saints keeper.
But St Mirren took the lead on 57 minutes when after a flowing move Byre was able to head home, it was a free header with the Dundee defence sleeping.
Dundee made changes with Miller, McGowan and Curran coming on but it was the home side that look capable of adding more goals.
Time ran out for the dark blues who started well , but fell away once St Mirren got the second goal. It put Dundee down to the bottom and it's vital we bounce back on Wednesday night at Perth.
