St Johnstone 2, Dundee 0, McDiarmid Park, Ladbrokes Premiership, 03-April-19

I decided to go to Perth for the Saints game instead of the home tie v Aberdeen this coming Saturday. I seem to work every time we play at Perth. Always off for Hamilton and Morton (Away).

Dundee made a few changes from Saturday's defeat at St Mirren, Darren O'Dea,Jesse Curran, Paul McGowan and Kenny Miller came in for Genseric Kusunga, Scott Wright, Craig Curran and Andrew Nelson. It looks like to me that Curran and Nelson can't be fully fit.

Dundee started well enough and put the saints under some pressure, they looked good going forward and Kenny Miller was unlucky with a curling shot effort. Saints had the ball in the net but it was ruled off side. Soon after a sweeping move and Kenny Miller went round the keeper , his pass was passed by Robson and the chance was gone. The Perth Saints went up the park and scored it was typical Dundee this season. Poor goal to concede.

Dundee kept at it and Woods forced the saints keeper into a decent save before half-time.

Second half and Dundee kept attacking and after a good move Robson missed a golden chance when he put the ball over the bar from 7 yards out. To be fair to the midfielder the ball was a bit high and not a easy chance. Maybe should have used his head instead.

As Dundee tried to put Subs on Saints went up the park and got the second goal which basically finished the game as a contest. Dundee kept at it , but it was the hosts who nearly scored a third near the end.

The ended and it was another defeat which is not what we need at the moment. Aberdeen next on Saturday so we hope we can get something as St Mirren play Hamilton.
