Dundee crashed out of the Scottish Cup at home to Raith Rovers, in a whirlwind start the fifers scored in 3 mins, when Simmons scored with a shot from the edge of the box. Then in 10 mins Ellis scored with a great header, which gave Rab Douglas no chance. Dundee did battle away and Leigh Griffiths was unlucky when he hit the woodwork. Rovers were dangerous on the break, but it took until 73mins for Dundee to pull one back, after good play from Gary Harkins he crossed for
Craig Forsyth to head home. Dundee pushed forward , but the Rovers held out to reach the Semi Finals in the first time since 1963.
