St Johnstone 0, Dundee 2, McDiarmid Park, William Hill Premiership, 18th May 2025

Dundee started with one change to the team with Scott Tiffoney replacing Seun Adewumi, who had not recovered from the knock that saw him leave the field at halftime on Wednesday. Aaron Donnely was back in the squad after also missing ogot the ball just inside the Saints half ut midweek.

The home side started well and had two attacks in the opening minutes. Dundee were able to clear with ease. They then had their first attack, after good play put in for Mulligan to cross, but no takers this time. Saints forced a corner soon after with Robertson being able to clear. 

Then Lyall Cameron had a shot which just went past the right hand post. As Dundee were coming back into the game. 

Dundee then had a penalty shout in the 23rd minute when Scott Tiffoney made a darting run into the box and after he released the ball, there were shouts that the winger had been fouled but nothing came of it.

But they took the lead on 26 minutes when Tiffoney found Lyall Cameron who cut inside and smashed the ball across the keeper and into the cornet of the net. A fine goal to sent the Dundee fans wild.

Minutes later Simon Murray got the ball just inside the Saints half and he tried to lob the keeper, but the ball just fell wide of the goal.

The game up to half-time was pretty even but at least Dundee were 1-0 up at the break.

Dundee attacked from the start and Scott Tiffoney was involved both time, first he was on a run and was fouled. Then soon after he ran clear to score, but he was offside after a Var check.

Dundee forced two corners which came to nothing, the Josh Mulligan had a shot saved by the Saints keeper. 

Seb Palmer-Houlden then received some treatment in the middle of the pitch and a few minutes later he was replaced by Finn Robertson.

Both teams had chances the best for Dundee fell to Murray who blasted the ball over the bar. With 5 minutes to go Trevor Carson made a good save getting down well.

Big cheer when the final score in the Highlands was 1-1. Dundee finished the game on a high when after 96 minutes they got a penalty after Larkeche was fouled in the box.

Up stepped Lyall Cameron to score with ease to seal the game 2-0 final score.

Massive result and means Dundee will play in the Premiership next season.
