Dundee Sign Billy Koumetio

Dundee Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender Billy Koumetio from Liverpool, subject to International Clearance. The central defender joins us on a two-year contract after spending five years at Liverpool.

The 21-year-old Frenchman came through the youth set up at Olympique Lyon, before moving to US Orléans. He then moved to England joining Liverpool at the age of 16 and represented them at Under 18’s,19’s and 21’s level. In July 2022 he joined Austria Vienna on loan playing 11 times. He then had loan spells at USL Dunkerque and Blackburn Rovers.

Koumetio has also represented France at Under 18 and Under 20 level.

Billy will wear the no 20 jersey this season. Billy joins fellow Frenchmen Mo Sylla and Ziyad Larkeche at Dundee.
