Dundee started this game with a young looking side to take on high flying Dunfermline Athletic, in the first half it was end to end with chances falling for both sides.
Dunfermline then forced Harry Sharp into a good save which he turned the shot away for a pars corner, Dundee first chance fell to McMullen but he fired high over the bar.
But soon after it was 1-0 for Dundee a quick break away and Thomas found Paul McMullan who this time fired the ball home for a good goal.
Ten minutes later and it was 1-1 a good cross was headed home by McCann, so 1-1 at half time.
Still the game went from end to end, but Dundee took the lead on the hour a quick corner McMullan found Mulligan and he squared the ball to Fin Robertson who scored with a solid shot.
Dundee all but sealed the tie with seven minutes remaining when substitutes Cillian Sheridan and Luke McCowan combined. The former flicking on a ball forward and Luke McCowan scored with a shot from the edge of the box for a fine goal.
Into stoppage time and Dundee added a forth, Max Anderson this time, again from just outside the box finding the bottom corner.
A couole of minutes later and ExDee Craig Wighton scored a great goal with a stunning finish.
A hard game and all credit to Dunfermline for having a go in this match.
