Partick Thistle 2, Dundee 3, Firhill Stadium, cinch Championship, 05-November-22

Dundee made  made four changes to the team that drew at Queen’s Park last week. Tyler French, Josh Mulligan, Luke McCowan and Derick Osei started, replacing the injured Jordan Marshall and Lyall Cameron, Zak Rudden and Zach Robinson, who were all on the bench.

Both teams had a lot of the ball but failed to trouble either goal keeper. Dundee's best chance was when McMullen had a shot but it hit team mate Jordan McGhee. But Partick open the scoring on 20 minutes when Milne scored with a shot.

Soon after McMullan had a fine run but his cross was knocked in when a certain goal looked on. Bothe teams tried and had a lot of the ball. But Thistle took control of the game when Milne again scored and it did not look good for Dundee as half-time was soon after.

Second half and Manager Gary Bowyer made three changes when Max Anderson, Zak Rudden and Zach Robinson replaced Josh Mulligan, Luke McCowan and Derick Osei at half time. Mulligan had picked up an unnecessary early yellow card and his energetic style would have put him in danger of a second yellow. Osei and McCowan had little joy in the first half

What a change to the team they looked a lot better attacking wise and it was no surprize when Zach Robinson headed home after a good cross from McMullan, that was on 57 minutes and gave Dundee a big boost.

They were playing some great football and scored to make it 2-2 when Ryan Sweeney forced the ball home. After a tussel on the line Muirhead was sent off for the home side down to 10 men. It was his second booking.

Dundee piled on the pressure and on 76 minuters they scored was proved to be the winner. after a great flowing move French put Anderson clear wide and his cut back was smashed home from 18 yards by Cammy Kerr. It was a great goal and it send the Dundee fans wild with delight.

Dundee pushed for the fourth goal and never took any risks it turned out a tail of two halves and Dundee were superb in the second half. Hopefully now they can build on this with two homes games next.
