Dundee started with a unchanged team which beat Queen's Park in their last game. In the first twenty minutes it was all Dundee. They scored a great goal when great play from Alex Jukubiak beat two players on the wing cut inside into the box and smashed the ball home past the keeper to score.
Minutes later it was 2-0 when McGinn played Alex Jukubiak in and he finished with a neat shot. Cammy Kerr then had a good chance but blasted his shot over the bar.
On 37 minutes it was 3-0 with an outstanding move was finished by Niall McGinn after great play from Max Anderson and Cammy Kerr.
The fourth goal came on the stroke of half time. McGinn’s corner from the right was headed down by Ryan Sweeney for Tyler French to volley his first goal for the Dee into the roof of the net from close range.
Dundee made changes to the team at half time with Paul McMullan and Ben Williamson came one for Jordan Marshall and Max Anderson.
Dundee did have a few chances in the first 15 minutes but failed to take them. Three more changes to the team when Luke McCowan, Lyall Cameron and Zak Rudden replaced Niall McGinn, Paul McGowan and Alex Jakubiak.
Four minutes and Lyall Cameron made it 5-0 with a well taken goal inside the box making space for himself. Two minutes later Forfar pulled on back when Stefan McCluskey scored.
The rest of the game Dundee pushed for the a sixth goal but missed a few chances Luke McCowan came close with a fine shot.
Another fine win for Dundee and they are set for the next round pf the League Cup.
