Dundee fielded the same team which drew with Kilmarnock 10 days ago. They started well and should have been 2-0 up when Nelson and Wright both missed the goal from six yards out.
Livingston was dealt a big blow when Bryne was sent off after a late challenge on Andy Dales. It made Livi sit back and hit Dundee on the break. And they went ahead when the ball was nodded on at the near post and Halkett forced the ball home. Dundee continued to push forward but missed a few chances when they could not hit the target.
Dundee made a change just after half time McGowan replacing Hadenius, they nearly scored soon after when Dales shot was just wide off the far post.
At last after 53 minutes Dundee levelled when Scott Wright picked up the ball and sent over a great cross for Andrew Nelson to send a looping header home to the delight of the Dundee fans. Just minutes later and McGowan should have scored but he put his shot wide from 8 yards out.
It was all Dundee now as they looked to win the game. Jesse Curran who had come on for Andy Dales and he made a great run towards the goal and he was fouled to give Dundee a free kick. Up stepped Scott Wright to score a wonderful goal from 25 yards out.
Seny Dieng had to make a great double save to keep Dundee in the lead . But after that Dundee held on to take the priceless points home to dens park.
The win today lifted Dundee into 10th place for the first time in ages.
