Dundee 1 Queen of the South 0, Dens Park, First Division, 07/August/10

Dundee beat Queen of the South on Saturday, thanks to a great free kick from Gary Harkins. In a game that left back Netan Sansara made his debut, after signing on at the club for a month. He had played for Walsall before being released.

Dundee played well enough overall, they scored when Gary Harkins fooled the Queens keeper with a clever free kick on 22 minutes. But a crazy second half seen Dundee give away a penalty, Sansara was booked, then Rab Douglas made a great save to deny Holmes. Then Netan Sansara got send off, picking up a second booking. Not clear on what he did, but it was the lineman who flagged. Then 2 minutes later Riley was send off for his second bookable tackle, on which seemed a wee bit harsh.

Down to nine men , we defended well and deserved the 3 points, thought Craig McKeown was outstanding, with Gary Harkins having a good game in midfield. So a good three points for the Dark Blues.

Dundee: Douglas, Irvine, McKeown, Weston, Sansara, Riley, McHale (Higgins 77), Forsyth, Harkins (Paton 85), McMenamin, Griffiths (O'Donnell 77). Subs Not Used: Fox, Kerr.
