Dundee's promotion push for this season is all but over, after drawing 2-2 at Cappielow this afternoon. In a very poor performance first half was our down fall, Morton were far the better side and took the lead just before half time, when the ball came back of the bar and Witteveen scored from the rebound.Manager Chisholm made changes at half time.Second half and worse was to follow, we gave away the ball away cheaply in midfield and fouled the Morton striker Witteveen in the box, Monti stepped up to make it 2-0. Just a few minutes later and Gary Harkins scored from a tight angle to give us some hope. Dundee put Morton under some real pressure, and after a good move Higgins was unlucky not to score. With around 8 mins to go and Leigh Griffiths had to leave the field to get treatment for a ankle injury, Dundee got a free kick just outside the box, and Griffiths came back on to curl a beauty to make it 2-2.
Sadly we could not find the net again, and it ended 2-2, it's terrible we can only play for 25-30 minutes. That has cost us all season, and changes will need to happen for the good of the club.
