Morton 1 Dundee 2, Cappielow, 05/April/08

DEREK Lyle's late winner kept Dundee's lingering title ambitions alive and sunk Morton deeper into the relegation play-off position. Morton took the lead after eight minutes with their first chance. Jim McAlistair beat two Dundee defenders before firing low past Craig Samson. Captain Peter Weatherson could have doubled his side's lead after 15 minutes but he wasted the chance by blasting it off Samson's legs.Mikael Antoine-Curier restored parity in the 25th minute. A poor clearance was picked up by David O'Brien, who set up his team-mate. Nine minutes later Scott McLauchlin's thunderous free kick crashed back off the underside of the bar before being cleared by Dundee.Lyle's deciding strike came on 80 minutes from a Gary McKenzie knock-down. A well fought 3 points for the Dark Blues..with 3 games to go..we still have a chance..
