Latest News From Dens Park...


Dundee have completed the pre-contract signing of Queen of the South defender Eric Paton.The 29-year-old will remain with the Doonhamers until the end of the season and move to Dens Park in the summer. Paton has spent five-and-a-half years at Palmerston, making 207 first-team appearances and scoring 10 goals.


Dundee tonight signed Colin McMenamin from Gretna for a undisclosed fee. The news was announced to shareholders at the AGM tonight. Should make his debut against Queen of the South at Dens this Saturday. More to follow.......The 26-year-old, who recently returned from a loan spell with Livingston, has signed an 18-month contract.
McMenamin started his senior career with Newcastle before heading for Livingston, Falkirk and Shrewsbury. He joined Gretna in 2006 and scored 24 goals in 52 goals but fell out of favour after their promotion to the Scottish Premier League. McMenamin was voted First Division player of the year last season. He scored three times in 10 appearances on his return to Division One with Livi this term and will now be hoping to experience his second promotion in a row.
