Dundee 0,Celtic 1, Dens Park, Ladbrokes Premiership, 17-March-19
Dundee played well on Sunday not always on the attack but they defended well and kept their shape well. They had chances in either half when a wee bit of composure might have seen them take the lead. For Champions Celtic I thought they were pretty poor overall.
They did win the game in the sixth minute of injury time with nearly the last kick of the ball. In my mind the six minutes were too long and only the Referee knows why.
It has cost Dundee a point and maybe more come the end of the season. Next game is a visit to St Mirren a week on Saturday which will prove vital in our fight to stay in the league.

Dundee were well beaten on the night, 2 nil down after only 8 minutes they never recovered, 3-0 at half time. The home side added a 4th near the end.

Dundee lost 4-2 to Hibernian at home on the Friday night, Hibs took the lead on 26 minutes when Kamberi scored. McGowan levelled things with a well taken goal. But McNulty put the Edinburgh side ahead before half-time. Two early goals sealed the game for the visitors. Martin Woods pulled one back with 11 minutes to go. Livingston 1, Dundee 2, Tony Macoroni Arena, Ladbrokes Premiership, 16-February-19
Dundee fielded the same team which drew with Kilmarnock 10 days ago. They started well and should have been 2-0 up when Nelson and Wright both missed the goal from six yards out.
Livingston was dealt a big blow when Bryne was sent off after a late challenge on Andy Dales. It made Livi sit back and hit Dundee on the break. And they went ahead when the ball was nodded on at the near post and Halkett forced the ball home. Dundee continued to push forward but missed a few chances when they could not hit the target.
Dundee made a change just after half time McGowan replacing Hadenius, they nearly scored soon after when Dales shot was just wide off the far post.
At last after 53 minutes Dundee levelled when Scott Wright picked up the ball and sent over a great cross for Andrew Nelson to send a looping header home to the delight of the Dundee fans. Just minutes later and McGowan should have scored but he put his shot wide from 8 yards out.
It was all Dundee now as they looked to win the game. Jesse Curran who had come on for Andy Dales and he made a great run towards the goal and he was fouled to give Dundee a free kick. Up stepped Scott Wright to score a wonderful goal from 25 yards out.
Seny Dieng had to make a great double save to keep Dundee in the lead . But after that Dundee held on to take the priceless points home to dens park.
The win today lifted Dundee into 10th place for the first time in ages.

Dundee made only one change Andrew Nelson replacing Ethan Robson. Dundee started the game very well and it was no surprize when Andrew Nelson fired Dundee into the lead after 8 minutes with a great strike across the keeper. Scott Wright seemed to be in the mood and he was a delight to watch with his wing play.
Kilmarnock levelled against the run of play when Broadfoot got forward and his cross was swept home by McAleny for a simple goal. But Dundee came back quickly and went ahead with another superb goal from Andrew Nelson when the young striker fired a 20 yarder shot home.
Dundee continued to play fine football and finished the first half well on top.
Second half and Kilmarnock changed their shape a pushed Dundee back, it was no surprize when Burke fired home a great free kick to level the score at 2-2. It was Killie who were on top now and Dundee had to battle well to stay in the game.

Hamilton Accies 1, Dundee 1, CBD Hope Stadium, Ladbrokes Premiership, 02-Feb-19
Dundee manager Jim McIntyre made six changes to the team that played at Queen of the South, no fewer than five of whom were making their debut. James Horsfield, Ryan McGowan, Ethan Robson, Andreas Hadenius and Scott Wright all had their first starts and Martin Woods returned after being ill. Cammy Kerr, Paul McGowan and Kenny Miller were on the bench and Darren O’Dea was not in the squad.
Hamilton started slightly better than Dundee in a scrappy game, but as the half progressed Dundee started to threaten the Accies goal. Curran and Dales were unlucky with two good efforts.
Early into the second half and Dundee were forced to make a change when Ethan Robson went off holding his groin and Paul McGowan came on.
Ryan McGowan did well to cut out a dangerous McMann cross, but it was the Dee who scored from the resulting corner following a fast break. Curran kept the ball in play on the right switching the ball infield for Paul McGowan who tried to send Ralph clear. The ball broke to Scott Wright, who made space cleverly before a cool finish from 12 yards.
Seny Dieng then pulled off a superb save to deny Hamilton a goal, the on loan keeper kept out a certain goal after the ball was deflected towards the goal. Dundee should have wrapped up the points but as time slipped in to injury time MacKinnon scored for the Accies. His rising shot gave Dieng no chance from the edge of the box.
The new signings all played well and gives us hope that we can stay up, it was another point gained on St Mirren who lost 4-0 at Ibrox.

Players Depart Dens .............
Kharl Madianga, Jean Alassane Mendy, Sofien Moussa, Roarie Deacon and Elton Ngwatala have all left the club by mutual consent. Ryan Inniss has returned to his parent club Crystal Palace.
Dundee also confirmed that Glen Kamara has joined Ranges and the club received a undisclosed fee.

New Signings.....
Dundee have signed John O’Sullivan on loan from Blackpool. 25 year old, John came through the youth ranks at Blackburn Rovers and made his first team debut in 2013. Loan spells at Southport, Accrington Stanley, Barnsley, Rochdale, Bury and Accrington again came before he left Ewood Park on a permanent basis to join Carlisle United in 2017.
He was a regular with Carlisle throughout the 2017/18 season and joined Blackpool last summer. This season he has made 22 appearance for Blackpool and joins on loan until the end of the season.
Dundee have signed Scott Wright on loan from Aberdeen. Winger Scott made his Pittodrie debut at the age of 16 in the Europa League in 2014.Since then he has gone on to make 50 appearances for The Dons gaining experience in the Ladbrokes Premiership and the Europa League. A Scotland under 21 international, Scott joins on loan until the end of the season.
Dundee have signed Ethan Robson on loan from Sunderland. A product of the Sunderland youth academy, 22 year old Ethan has progressed through the ranks and featured 14 times for the first team. Midfielder Ethan joins on loan until the end of the season.
Dundee have signed Ryan McGowan on loan from Bradford City. Ryan will add experience to the squad having previously played at the top level in Scotland and representing Australia 20 times, including appearances at the 2014 World Cup.
He came to Scotland in 2006 and joined Hearts youth academy before loan spells with Ayr United and Partick Thistle helped him break into the Tynecastle side’s first team.
A spell in the Chinese Super League was next up. Ryan played in Shandong Luneng Taishan before returning to Scotland with Dundee United and a year later moving back to China. In January 2018, Ryan joined Bradford City in League One. This season he has already featured 26 times and joins Dundee on loan until the end of the season.

Queen of the South Knock Dundee Out.......

Dundee lost 3-0 after a very poor performance in Dunfries. Darren O'Dea hit the post early on but once Stephen Dobbie scored on 27 minutes there was only going to be one winner. The striker got a second goal on 27 minutes when Inniss was short with a pass back.
Second half and Andy Dales had a decent effort saved it turned to be Dundee's only shot at goal in the second half. Dobbie got his hat-trick after Kusanga made a mess off a pass back to the keeper.
Queen of the South will now play Aberdeen (away) in the next round of the Cup, they fully deserved to go through over the two legs.

Dundee 0, Motherwell 1, Dens Park, Ladbrokes Premiership, 26-January-19
The Dark Blues passed up two great chances late in the first half.The ball broke to give Martin Woods a clear sight of goal, 16 yards out, but he sliced his shot wide.Andrew Nelson missed an even better chance when he bundled his way clear on the end of Craig Curran’s header. With time to pick his spot he hooked a disappointing effort wide.
Dundee started the second half and put the Steelmen under a lot of pressure, with both Dales and Curran going close with great efforts.
The goal did arrive, but it went to Motherwell, against the run of play. Ryan Inniss made an unnecessary and ill-judged challenge on Elliot Frear. He caught the Well substitute late and Turnbull scored from the resulting penalty.
After this Roarie Deacon was unlucky with a fine shot which the well keeper tipped over the bar. Dundee pushed all the way to the end but could not put the ball into the net.
It's three points dropped and the team must bounce back from this for the next league game at Hamilton.

Dundee Sign Defender......
Dundee have signed James Horsfield on loan from Scunthorpe United until the end of the season.
A right back who has also played a number of games midfield throughout his career came through the youth ranks at Manchester City and after loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and NAC Breda made a permanent move to the Dutch side in 2017.
The 23 year old joined Scunthorpe last summer and featured 15 times in the first half of the season for the Glanford Park side. James will wear number 29 this season.

Dundee made two changes from Saturday Andy Dales and Andrew Nelson came in for their first starts, with Roarie Deacon and Kenny Miller moving to the bench.
Dundee started well with both Dales and Nelson looking good going forward, and Nelson had a great effort saved only for the referee to give a corner. It took Hearts 18 minutes to test the Dundee keeper but Seny Dieng done well.
But after 23 minutes Dundee took the lead Genseric Kusunga came forward to win the ball in midfield. As space opened up he kept going, played a one-two with Nelson and shot home from 12 yards, a composed move and finish that any midfielder would have been proud of.
Dundee continued to look the better side and Andy Dales saw a swerving 20 yard shot dip over the crossbar. The Currans combined well when Jesse crossed and Craig’s header was well saved by Doyle.
Hearts levelled just before half-time a free kick by Lee took a free kick wide on the left and it flicked off the top of Jesse Curran’s head, looping horribly over Dieng and inside the far post. A lucky break for Hearts but the way Dundee have played this half they have nothing to fear.
The problems Dundee were still causing Hearts were illustrated again by a second Hearts substitution. John Souttar came on for Callum Morrison as the Jam Tarts switched to three centre backs to try and cope with the hard running pressing of the Dee strikers.
The change did Hearts little good because Dundee grabbed the winner five minutes later. Nathan Ralph made space neatly and his pass for Craig Curran was missed by Conor Shaughnessy. Curran ran on and set up Andrew Nelson to smash the winner past Doyle from near the penalty spot.

Andreas Signs.................
Dundee have signed Andreas Hadenius on loan until the end of the season. The 27 year old Swedish midfielder who can also play in defence signs from Halmstad BK in his homeland.
Andreas has played all of his football in Sweden. Starting his professional career with IFK Norrköping he moved to IF Syvia on loan initially before making the move permanent.
He then moved on to IFK Varnamo before moving back to Syvia.
Andreas then spent three seasons back with Norrköping before joining Halmstad last year.
