Dundee 0, Ross County 3, Dens Park, William Hill Premiership, 26th December-2024

Dundee had Simon Murray and Seun Adewumi back to the starting eleven, taking the place of Seb Palmer-Houlden and Fin Robertson, who were on the bench.

Dundee started slowly and struggled in the opening 20 minutes, too many passes went astray and they lacked energy against a well orginised Ross County.

County had a few chances and it was no surprize when they took the lead after 23 minutes, County then sat back and Dundee failed to find the right pass in the final third.

At least they got to half-time just 1-0 down.

They made two changes when Antonio Portales and Jordan McGhee were replaced by Fin Robertson and Sean Kelly. Dundee still failed to get the ball wide and feed the strikers.

After 67 minutes Ethan Ingram, Seb Palmer-Houlden and Curtis Main replaced Scott Tiffoney, Sean Adewumi and Simon Murray. Ingram went to right wing back with Josh Mulligan moving to centre midfield.

But things got worse when County added two more goals to seal the three points. One was a penalty.

Seb Palmer-Houlden brought an excellent save from keeper Jordan Amissah with a low 18 yard shot after Curtis Main had laid the ball off. For all Dundee’s attacking that was the only time they managed to force the Staggies’ keeper to make a save/

It was just one of those day for the dark blues.

Myself l had to go to work and do a night-shift due to my Christmas shifts not a good day.
