Dundee 1, Hamilton Academical 1, Dens Park, Ladbrokes Premiership, 19th August 2016
Dundee drew 1-1 with Hamilton at Dens Park on Friday, at the a rain sodden Dens Dundee started well , but it was Hamilton scored first when Lyon scored a cracker from 30 yards out which gave Scott Bain no chance. But Dundee hit back to level on 16 minutes when Mark O'Hara scored at the back post from a Danny Williams corner.
Going by reports Dundee struggled after the first 15 minutes and Hamilton in the second half should have won it.
A point is good if that was the case, we need to start playing for 90 minutes, and hopefully McGowan will be back for the trip to Fir Park. I missed the game due to my Holiday in London.
Dundee: Bain, Etxabeguren, O’Dea (c), Holt, Kerr, Vincent (Teijsse 62), O’Hara, Ross, Williams
Loy, El Bakhtaoui. Unused Subs: Mitchell, Gadzhalov, Curran, Quigley, Smyth.

Dundee 1, Rangers 2, Dens Park, Ladbrokes Premiership, 13th August 2016
Dundee started with just Rory Loy upfront with five across the midfield to face a shaky looking Rangers if last weeks result was anything to go by. Dundee seemed to give Rangers too much respect and as a result struggled to play passes to each other in a packed midfield.
Dundee: Bain, Kerr, Etxabeguren, O’Dea (c), Holt, Vincent (Ross 58), McGowan, Williams, O’Hara, Duffy (El Bakhtaoui 68), Loy (Teijsse 68). Unused Subs: Mitchell (gk), Gadzhalov, Wighton.

Rangers scored twice before the first half ended first when Forrester scored on the turn when the Dundee defence struggled to clear, and then Miller scored after the ball fell nice I'm and he smashed it home pass a helpless Bain. But Mark O'Hara headed home from a Danny Williams corner just before half time to give the home fans some hope.
Second half and Paul Hartley finally changed Nick Ross, Yordi Teijesse and Faissal El Bakhtaoui for James Vincent, Rory Loy and Michael Duffy. It was the change to two strikers and finally Dundee looked more dangerous going forward. Rangers did have some break away but could not add to their score line. Dundee did have a few chance but sadly they could not score with Teijesse and Holt going close with headers. Time ran out and Rangers held on to their 2-1 win. I was disappointed with the tactics used today at the start, I think we need to attack teams as Rangers are not world beaters.
My MoM goes to Mark O'Hara

Ross County 1, Dundee 3, Global Energy Stadium, Ladbrokes Premiership, 6th August 2016
Dundee travelled up to Dingwall in the hope of 3points and a good start to the season, and the DFC fans were not disappointed with the dark blues coming away with all 3 points. Greg Stewart was ruled out with a injury and plenty rumours of Greg signing for a club in England were doing the rounds in the pub before the game.
Dundee started well and had a few chances before taking the lead in 13 minutes when a great ball from Williams released O'Hara and his cut back was well finished by Rory Loy to give Dundee a 1 nil lead, just before the goal Kevin Holt had cleared one off the line. Soon after and O'Hara had a great chance but put his effort just wide. Dundee were well on top and they got a penalty after O'Hara was fouled in the box. Up stepped Rory Loy to drill the ball home to the delight of the big Dundee support behind the goal. That was the score at half-time and it well deserved after a good half.
Second half and County pushed Dundee back and the defence and midfield done well clearing their lines and as the rain got heavier. A great break away from Dundee sealed the 3 points a great ball from Loy to Duffy who first time ball send Paul McGowan free to score number three. A great goal and it was vintage Dundee.
Ross County kept going and finally scored when Curran finish in the six yard box. Scott Bain had a few good saves but that is how the game finished and it was happy DFC fans who left Dingwall. A great team performance and l thought all the team played well. My MOM went to Kevin Holt who had his best game for the Dee
