Dundee 1 Livingston 0, Dens Park, Division One, 05-May-12
Dundee played their final game of the season with Livingston being the visitors. In what was a typical end of season affair. It gave Manager Barry Smith a chance to field youngster Jamie Reid who done very well and scored the only goal of the game. Leighton McIntosh also started, along side Nicky Riley.
In the first half our best effort was a 30 yard shot which hit the post, l don't think the Livi keeper touched it. Both teams played some neat football.
Second half was only 3 minutes old when Jamie Reid broke clear he kept his composure to clip the ball high into the net to score a superb goal. One he will remember for a long time. At half time Leighton was replaced by Jake Hyde. Soon after Milne should have scored but the keeper saved and Hyde put the ball wide from seven yards out. To be fair to him the ball did come back quickly.
Rab Douglas done well to deny Barr when he broke clear to save superbly. That was about that with the players applauding the fans at the end with departing players willing to give the young fans some souvenirs.
Dundee: Douglas, Irvine, Conroy, McKeown, Benedictis, Reid, O'Donnell, McBride, Mcintosh (Hyde 46),Milne (Bayne 90), Riley (Fotheringham 85). Subs Not Used: Gibson, Chisholm.
