Latest from Dens
Dundee don't have a game this weekend as Hamilton face Falkirk in the Ramsden Cup Final. The clubs did play the game when Hamilton beat Dundee 3-1. The next game will be against Falkirk a week on Saturday.
Dundee 4 Ayr United 1, Dens Park, Division One, 27/March/12
Dundee got back on track after poor performances in the last two game. Teamwise Kyle Benedictus and Leighton McIntosh came into the side with McGregor and Finnigan out injured. Youngster Jamie Reid was on the bench and no sign of Fotheringham rumour say that he out injured.
Dundee got off to good start and looked eager to attack and it did pay off after 20 minutes when a good move and O'Donnell pass put Jamie McCluskey clear on goal and the winger finished with a low drive. Dundee kept their high tempo football going and McIntosh should have scored shooting over the bar from 10 yards out.
Second half and Ayr to their credit kept playing football and having a go. It took some good defending to keep them out with the help of the woodwork. Then after a short looking passback forced keeper Rab Douglas to clear and the ball fell nicely to Savo Milne who took a great touch and finished well to put Dundee 2 nil up. Ayr still came back and Douglas made two great saves to keep them out, but soon after Roberts scored with a good shot.
Then with the Honest men looking to earn a draw Dundee broke twice to seal the game first a quick breakaway and Jake Hyde scored with a grat finish high into the net. Then it was 4-1 when McCluskey broke some great skill and pass which setup Ryan Conroy scored to stun Ayr United.
The players all done well tonight and the win was well earned, Ayr played well tonight and could have won the game.
Dundee: Douglas, Irvine, Lockwood, McKeown, Benedictis, McCluskey, McBride, O'Donnell, Conroy, Milne (Bayne 88), Mcintosh (Hyde 88). Subs Not Used: Gibson, Chisholm, Reid.

Dundee 1 Raith Rovers 1, Dens Park, Division One, 24/March/12
Dundee got off to a great start on Saturday against lowly Raith Rovers when in 6 minutes after good link up play the ball was fed out to Irvine and his his cross was headed home by Carl Finnigan a superb goal. In the opening stage Dundee pushed the Rovers back and looked dangerous when they went forward.
Then the game kind of changed when Carl Finnigan had to go off after he hurt his knee, it did look a bad one and hopefully Carl is okay. Rovers came back into the game and levelled when after some slack play Casalinuovo scored at the back post.
Second half and Dundee struggled to make any decent chances and the visiters could have sneaked a winner. Only shot on target was from Fortheringham which the keeper pushed away for a corner.
So hopefully we bounce back on Tuesday when Ayr United are in town.
Dundee: Douglas, Irvine,McGregor,McKeown,Lockwood, McCluskey (Fotheringham 57),McBride,O'Donnell,Conroy, Milne (Bayne 78),Finnigan (Hyde 42). Subs Not Used: Gibson,Chisholm.

Hamilton A 3 Dundee 1, New Douglas Park, Division One, 20-March-12
Dundee lost their first away game for a wee while going down 3-1 to Hamilton. Dundee took the lead in 30 minutes when they got a soft penalty or so reports go. But up stepped Ryan Conroy to blast home. Accies fought back and levelled the game 5 minutes later when McLaughlin scored. That was the half time score.
Second half and two quickfire goals from McShane and Stewart put the Accies in control and finished the game as a contest, Dundee rarely threaten and reports say that it was the worst performance of the season. Mark Fortherinham and Leighton McIntosh came on but that changed very little.
With Morton beating Falkirk it does keep Dundee in second place, we look to get back on track this Saturday when Raith Rovers come to Dens Park.

Dundee Sign Fozzy...
Dundee have signed midfielder Mark Fotheringham until the end of the season, he did play for Dundee between 2003-05 and scored a few goals in the Premier League. Mark played for Livingston earlier in the season, he played in a bounce game against Aberdeen yesterday and impressed Manager Barry Smith
Livingston 2 Dundee 3, Braidwood Motor Co Stadium, First Division, 03/March/2012
Dundee got back to winning ways with a fine 3-2 win at Livingston on Saturday. Jamie McCluskey scored after 26 minutes with a fine finish. Livi levelled the game six minutes from the break through McNulty.
With just two minutes into the second half Livingston took the lead when Neil McGregor knocked the ball pass Rab Douglas in the goal. Then on 56 minutes Carl Finnigan scored to make it 2-2 with a great tackle of old from Weston set him up.
Both teams went for a winner and it was Jamie McCluskey who got the winner when he stabbed the ball home from close range to send the Dundee fans home happy.
A very vital three points today and keeps Dundee's slim promotion chances going.
