Luke has been a joy to watch and I wish him all the best in his future career, apart when he plays against Dundee.
He was Dundee's captain and was our Player of the year last season, He also was players player last season.

Transfer Last Day Update Plus Others Yesterday
The nineteen-year-old Austrian midfielder has just signed for Burnley after leaving Austrian side Floridsdorfer AC II and immediately joins Dundee on loan for the 24/25 season.
Last season Adewumi played 30 league matches for Floridsdorfer AC in Austria’s 2 Liga last season.At international level, he has played for Austria’s Under 19s and has been called up to the Under 21s squad.
Young defender Sebastian Lochhead has moved to English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
Sixteen-year-old Seb was part of the Dundee FC development squad, but has trained regularly with the first team since the beginning of pre-season.
He played for the first team last season when only 15 years old. Good luck at Wolves in the future.
The twenty-year-old Frenchman has just signed for Burnley after leaving Bordeaux and immediately joins Dundee on loan for the 24/25 season.
Vetro came through the Bordeaux youth set-up, playing for their Under 19s and B side. He made his first team debut in 2022, and last season, he made 15 appearances for Bordeaux in Ligue 2.
Twenty year-old Braybrooke joins The Dee from Leicester City where he has been since the age of six working up through the youth development system into the first-team squad. He made his first team debut in the English League Cup against Newport County in November 2022.
For Leicester City Under 18’s, he played 21 times scoring once, before moving up to the Under 21’s where he has played 49 times scoring four times. The defensive midfielder has also represented England at international level, playing 11 times for England Under 18’s, 3 times for England Under 19’s and twice for England Under 20’s.

Hibernian 2, Dundee 2, Easter Road, William Hill Premiership, 24th August 2024
Dundee started the game in a very positive mood and played some great passing moves, they attacked from the start, It was no surprize when they took the lead on 8 minutes.
Scott Tiffoney and Ziyad Larkeche combined neatly on the left with Simon Murray who crossed to the far post. The Hibs defence made a mess of the cross, allowing it to reach Lyall Cameron. Faced with a crowd of defenders Cameron calmly played a pass sideways to Scott Tiffoney in space and he finished well from eight yards,
Dundee continued to impress and were unlucky not to score a second when Cameron shot home, the move just before saw a Murray shot blocked by Palmer-Houlden and he was ruled off-side.
Hibernian came back into the game and won a few kicks which Dundee coped with and they also hit on the break as the game went from end to end.
But right on time at the end of the half Hibernian scored when Boyle scored from a free kick to level the game at 1-1.
Second half and Hibernian made a few changes and they had a go at Dundee. Dundee also had some breaks as well but this half was more even.
Luke McCowan was unlucky with a free kick when he his shot hit the outside of the post, but as the game got into the last 20 minutes or so Hibernian took the lead when Bowie scored after turning well and scoring with a neat finish.
At least Dundee kept at it and made changes when Main and Ingram replaced Tiffoney and Palmer-Houlden. This made Dundee look strong strong again and forced a few corners.
Robertson came on for Larkeche, and finally it payed off on 88 minutes a good move involving McCowan and Portales and his knock on put Simon Murray clear to score the vital goal to make the score 2-2.
Dundee really went for the winner and were unluck in injury time when the ball would not fall right in the box. Hubernian themselved hit the bar before the end.
A draw was fair in the end and at least Dundee fought back to keep their unbeated run going,

Dundee 6, Airdrie 1, Dens Park, League Cup, 17th August 2024
Dundee attacked from the start and had a few efforts on goal, Luke McCowan went closest with a shot which just wide of the post. Dundee looked to be in the mood and it was surprize when they did on 12 minutes.
From a McCowan corner Airdrie failed to clear and the ball fell to Seb Palmer-Houlden to knock the ball home to score a few yards out.
Dundee then missed a few chances when it looked easier to score, the goals it seemed would follow.
Scott Tiffoney forced the Diamonds keeper to make a great reflex save to turn his header over the ball.
The second goal came when Jordan McGhee headed home on from Cameron's corner. Airdrie themselves at least played some tidy football and were a wee bit unlucky not to score.
Second half and the visitors made three changes to their team, they had a good spell for ten minutes and pushed Dundee back.
But as it happens in football a great pass forward from Luke McCowan put Scott Tiffoney clear and he went on to smash the ball home to make it 3-0. A well worked goal and likely finished the game score wise.
Just before the third goal Fin Robertson replaced Deb Palmer-Houlden who had picked up a wee injury.
Soon after Airdrie were reduced to ten men when MacDonald was sent off for a last man foul on Murray.
Curtis Main replaced Simon Murray after 70 minutes and minutes later is was 4-0. From another Cameron corner Antonio Portales headed home which flew into the corner of the net.
A couple of minute late it 4-1 when Frizzell scored a fine goal when he kept going and fired the ball home.
Ryan Astley came on for Mo Sylla to play in central defence with Jordan McGhee moving into the holding midfield role.
Dundee kept going and Curtis Main made it 5-1 with a clever flick to score from a McCowan cross.
In injury time Dundee made it six. McCowan’s cross beyond the far post was met with Robertson’s volley. Wright saved, but Lyall Cameron headed into the roof of the net from almost on the goal line..
That was the final score in a game Dundee were too powerful for a good Airdrie side who at least played football.
Also great to have six different scorers which must please Dundee manager Tony Docherty.

Dundee started brightly and forced a early corner after a Lyall Cameron shot was saved. They looked quick on the break with both full backs pushing forward.
Herats had a lot of the ball but never troubled the Dundee defence and the midfield was picking up a lot of second balls.
Midway through the first half Dundee broke through. A poor kick out by Zander Clark was picked up by Luke McCowan. This season, instead of opting for the extravagant chip, McCowan played in Scott Tiffoney on the left and he cut inside to score with a low shot inside Clark’s near post.
A long ball from Ziyad Larkeche allowed Palmer-Houlden to race in from the right. Clark parried his fierce shot and saved again from Lyall Cameron’s acrobatic follow up volley.
Gerald Taylor caught Tiffoney with a dreadful late tackle wide of the Hearts penalty area. It was only a yellow card , it looked a red to me.
But minutes later Taylor put the ball into his own net, after a Simon Murray cross into the box.
Then Dundee broke away Tiffoney was fouled inside the box and it was a penalty to Dundee.
Up stepped Luke McCowan to score with ease to make it 3-0 Dundee. To the deelight of the Dundee fans.
Hearts made three changes at half-time and attacked for the first few minutes of the second half.
But it was Dundee who scored next only for it ruled out for hand ball in the build up by Mo Sylla, it was Cameron who put the ball into the net. The Hearts fans were leaving in big numbers.
Hearts continued to dominate possession but they offered more threat than in the first half. Yan Dhanda sent a half volley over the bar from a cross by fellow substitute Yutaro Oda.
After 61 minutes Hearts pulled a goal back. Dundee couldn’t clear a free kick from the left. Ex Dee Malachi Boateng, who came on at half time, sent over a dangerous cross and Frankie Kent headed in from close range. There was another VAR delay to check for possible offside, and again it didn’t go Dundee’s way.
Dundee had to reorganise the defence when Ziyad Larkeche was stretchered off after 69 minutes. Billy Koumetio came on to make his debut in central defence with Jordan McGhee moving to left back. It was an unfamiliar defence but there was little sign of that.
The Dark Blues could have settled the game when Palmer-Houlden made a fantastic run from the half way line through the Hearts midfield and sent Tiffoney in on goal, but the winger clipped his finish over the bar.
McCracken had a couple of saves near the end , but Dundee dug deep to secure the three points. All the players played well today and played some great football. It was also great to see the pitch looking wonderful.

Dundee started slowly and United had a few chances early on, they opened the scoring with a simple goal but very poor for Dundee's point of view Trapanovski finished with ease.
Three minutes later and it was 1-1 when good play from McCowan and Murray and ball fell nicely for Seb Palmer-Houlden to score from six yards out.
This did not settle Dundee who lost too many ball in midfield and it was no surprize when United scored again with a very similar goal. Theis time Thomson scored with a simple tap in.
United looked more dangerous going forward but Dundee got to half-time 2-1 down.
Second half and Dundee started okay but still needed to change their formation, they got lucky when Und broke and the ball was heading towards the net, but Lyall Cameron saved Dundee with a great run back to clar the ball near the goal line.
Dundee then made a change Scott Tiffoney coming on for Ethan Ingram, and they moved to a 4-3-3. Tiffoney had a shot blocked as Dundee stepped up a gear.
The Dee then made their final substitutions, sending on Curtis Main and Josh Mulligan for Seb Palmer-Houlden and Lyall Cameron.
They looked much better and went on to dominate the game. United were seen as sittingg back and hoping it was enough.
After that fright the Dark Blues went up the park and won the penalty that brought them back into the game. Murray ran into the penalty area and was wiped out by Ross Graham. The linesman’s flag was up for offside, but a VAR check was announced on both the offside decision and Graham’s challenge. After a minute or so referee David Dickinson was told that Murray was onside and he should go to the VAR monitor. A further tense delay ensued before the referee returned to signal his decision – Dundee penalty! Luke McCowan sent his spot kick down the middle and the Dee were level after 79 minutes.
McGhee headed over soon after and Murray missed from close range but was ruled off-side.
The a great ball from Murray found Main who somehow put the ball over the bar from 2 yards.
It ended 2-2 with Dundee much better in the last 30 minutes of the game. Overall a draw was about fair as United were better in the first half.

Dundee Sign Billy Koumetio
The 21-year-old Frenchman came through the youth set up at Olympique Lyon, before moving to US Orléans. He then moved to England joining Liverpool at the age of 16 and represented them at Under 18’s,19’s and 21’s level. In July 2022 he joined Austria Vienna on loan playing 11 times. He then had loan spells at USL Dunkerque and Blackburn Rovers.
Koumetio has also represented France at Under 18 and Under 20 level.
Billy will wear the no 20 jersey this season. Billy joins fellow Frenchmen Mo Sylla and Ziyad Larkeche at Dundee.
