Dundee Sign Plamen Galabov

Dundee have signed Bulgarian defender Plamen Galabov on a two-year deal, subject to international clearance and being granted the necessary visa. The 6ft 2 central defender joins The Dee following the expiry of his contract with Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tiva.

The 29-year-old started his career with Bulgarian side FC Lovech, he then moved to CSKA Sofia and played 65 times for them. He then spent two seasons on loan at SFC Etar Veliko Tarnovo playing 46 times. Plamen then left Bulgaria and moved to Israel, first signing for Maccabi Netanya playing 66 times. In 2024 he then moved to Beitar Jerusalem for a short period of time before signing for Maccabi Petah Tiva later in 2024 and played 37 times.

Galabov has represented the Bulgarian national side on five occasions making his debut on the 3rd of September 2020 against the Republic of Ireland in the UEFA Nations League. His last appearance for the Bulgarian national side was in March 2023 against Hungary.
