Dundee had to settle for a draw on Saturday against league leaders Ross County. In a game on which again we lost a sloppy goal after only 10 minutes on which was County's first attack on our goal. A deep cross was missed and after it was knocked back across Kettlewell had a easy tap in. Then soon after Douglas saved with his legs as County looked to finish the game early.
It took Dundee around 20 minutes to wake up and get back into the game, first Jamie McCluskey on a good run was chopped down from behind in a challenge that was no where near the ball. Soon after and this time Carl Finnigan got into the box where he was fouled. I think the linesman's gave the penalty after the Ref had looked to wave play on. Up stepped Ryan Conroy to blast home with a well placed shot. The first half ended that way 1-1 and all to play for in the second half.
The second half was mainly Dundee in control apart from a couple of County chances, but sadly we could not create any clear cut chances. I think Ross County were happy with point today, and for Dundee it's more points dropped and we will have to win our next 4-5 games to get a chance of catching the top two. On the trialist today who was Kevin McBride l think he done well today but need's to get his match fitness up, new striker Carl Finnigan again looked good.
Next up is Livingston away which will be a tough game, but it's one we must win.

Falkirk 1 Dundee 1, New Falkirk Stadium, First Division, 21/February/12
Dundee earned a point with another late goal coming with a few minutes of the game left. Falkirk had lead from the first half, by reports l've seen Dundee had dominated play in the first half but lost a soft goal. But new signing Carl Finnigan had come off the bench to score with a well placed shot. A good point but we need to start winning and Saturday is now a must now if we have any chance of gaining promotion.

Dundee play Hamilton this Saturday, the clubs first game for nearly three weeks, on the the fitness front only Nicky Riley looks to be out due to illness this week has stopped the winger from full training.
Dundee have been given a cash boost from a unnamed source, the club are keeping the person involved to themselves for this welcome backing.
Gavin Rae has left the club to join for Aberdeen, which is a blow to our midfield. But most of us knew this was very possible, l thank Gavin for his efforts on the pitch and wish him all the best for his future.
